About Me

Since I'm Swedish I have difficulty talking about myself... but here goes:

29, writer, born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden. Moved to CA summer 2010 and up until recently lived in Los Angeles. Currently live in San Rafael just outside of San Francisco where I’m working on my first novel.

25 fun (or strange) facts about me:
  1. Early mornings are my favorite time of the day.
  2. My favorite spot on earth is my bed.
  3. I’m obsessed with books and I buy way more than I have time to read.
  4. A few of my favorite books are The Dice Man, The Crimson Petal and the White, and The Alchemist.
  5. A few of my favorite TV shows are Mad Men, Modern Family and Boston Legal.
  6. My list of favorite movies is long, but includes Factory Girl, The Social Network and Lost in Translation.
  7. I have the world's best friends and family and consider myself incredibly lucky.
  8. I love my friends and family, but I also don’t mind being alone and could easily hide away in a cabin in the woods for days.
  9. Actually, I'm terrified of the dark so I probably wouldn't hide in a cabin out in the woods by myself.
  10. I adore both white and red wine but can't tell expensive and cheap wine apart (which I've heard neither can "wine experts")
  11. I'm obsessed with the Freakonomics podcast.
  12. I HAVE to have a cup of Peet's Coffee House Blend within an hour of waking up. If and when I move back to Sweden, I'll probably have it shipped over.
  13. I secretly roll my eyes when people call themselves "coffee snobs" and then order a Caramel Macchiato... That's not even a coffee. I'm European. I can't help it.
  14. I use a percolator for my own coffee, which the baristas at Peet's Coffee always laugh at when I ask them to grind the beans for percolator. Apparently I'm too young to use one.
  15. I have two major crushes I just can't seem to get over: Zac Posen and Andy Cohen. I'm convinced I could be very happy spending the rest of my life with either one of them despite the obvious issue (I'm sure we could agree on some sort of arrangement)
  16. I never understood the fascination with Seinfeld.
  17. I have to sleep with earplugs.
  18. I judge guys by their shoes (and their pants) just like I judge books by their cover. If the case isn't too serious, they may still have a chance to change my opinion, but they have to work much harder and be willing to go shoe shopping.
  19. After four years in the US, I still almost always pronounce beer as bear, air as ear, or pair as pear, and vice versa. So difficult!
  20. I love asparagus and can eat it every day.
  21. I've always wanted a Rottweiler, but will probably never get one because I doubt I could handle one, despite the fact that I grew up with dogs.
  22. My dream car is Mercedes G-class SUV. I'll let you know when and if I ever get one.
  23. I have a strange obsession with abandoned cities and can spend hours researching it on the internet.
  24. I love the rain, snow and cold temperatures.
  25. Now you might be thinking "Perhaps you should have stayed in Sweden." But I love California even more and my one and true love will probably always be L.A!
